Appendix C: PC5020 Commercial Fire

Programming Guide

This section is to be used for programming features related directly to Central and Remote Station Fire Monitoring purposes.

NOTE: The programming as underlined below must be present to successfully satisfy Commercial Fire Installations. For any

Combination Burglary/Commercial Fire Installations; Commercial Fire enable options take precedence over Burglary pro-

gramming options.

[009] PGM1 and PGM2 Output Programming (Main Panel)

PGM 2 must be programmed as type 04 (2-wire smoke support). PGM outputs beyond PGM 4 must not be in Commercial Fire

applications.

Four-wire Smoke Detectors

Zones 1-8 of PC5020 and zones 1-4 on PC5700 may be programmed as 4-wire smoke detectors. To do so enter programming

Option 08 in the desired zone location. Refer to Programming Worksheets Section 3 (Basic Programming ) Section # [001], [002],

[003], [004].

[013] First System Option Code

NOTE: Do not turn this Option ON for Commercial Fire Installations.

[016] Fourth System Option Code

NOTE: For Commercial Fire Applications, this option must be turned ON.

[018] Sixth System Option Code

Default Option ON OFF

NOTE: For Commercial Fire applications this option must be turned ON.

[030] Zone Loop Response Option Code (Optional for Commercial Fire Use)

Fast loop response = Zone response to a violated zone (36ms)

Normal Loop response = Zone response to a violated zone (540ms). Note: All zones are defaulted to this setting.

Refer to Installation Manual: Section 5.3 [030] for description.

[165] Maximum Dialing Attempts for Commercial Fire Applications

Default: 007I ________I________I________IValid entries for maximum dialing attempts must be set in between the range of 005 and 010.

[166] Post Dial Handshake for Commercial Fire Applications

Default: 040I ________I________I________IValid entries for maximum dialing attempts must be set in between the range of 001 and 090.

[177] Waterflow Delay Timer

I ________I________I________IThe maximum time allowed for a waterflow delay time is 120 seconds.

NOTE: This time is to be a combination of both the control unit and the waterflow device.

[178] Alarm Tone Verified for Verbal Alarm

NOTE: This feature is not to be used for Commercial Fire Applications.

[304] Call Waiting String

Default: OFF I________I________I________I This feature must not be enabled for Commercial Fire Applications.
